A nice, gentle dentist in Lichfield County, CT (or near Danbury?)?

I am petrified of the dentist – It has been over 2 years since I have had a cleaning! I have moved and am looking for a new dentist to get a check-up. All I need is a nice dentist for a cleaning and x-rays… I am willing to travel if anyone knows a kind dentist who will be aware of my dental-phobia.

on a side note, my dental phobia does not come from having bad teeth, but from having a verbally abusive pediatric dentist as a child who did not understand that I have very sensitive teeth.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated!!
